Our Road Department worked diligently over the last several weeks (June-July) to implement a solution designed to improve a drainage issue on Wheeler Rd. This project is intended to funnel excess water to King ditch (county ditch). The Township obtained an easement for this work and received a $9,000 grant through the county stormwater department to cover all materials. Trying to get rid of junk and bulky waste like large appliances and furniture can be difficult and time consuming. At Republic Services, bulky item disposal could be as easy as arranging a bulk trash pickup. LaGrange Township’s service contract with Republic Services operates through Calendar Year 2031 (information in our Events section). THANK YOU to our Lorain County Engineer's Office for securing 75% of the necessary funding for this project ($150,000) from the Small Community grant program. The township is expecting to pay the remainder ($50,000). Trustees voted to accept the bid and signed the contract to repair the culvert.
