Zoning Commission Board
About
The LaGrange Township Zoning Commission is comprised of five residents and two alternates, all residents of LaGrange Township and are charged with maintaining the Township’s current land use and providing recommendations to the Township concerning any recommended changes to current Zoning Regulations. Each member, including alternates, serves a four-year term that expires on a two-year rotational basis. This method ensures the Board retains experience throughout new member transitions. The Board operates within Ohio Revised Code sections 519.01 – 519.99 and is responsible for maintaining the Township’s Zoning Regulations.
Zoning amendments can be proposed by Zoning Commission, Township citizens, or anyone wishing to recommend a change to the Township’s current Zoning Regulations. Both the Zoning Commission and The Board of Trustees hold public hearings before any changes are made to the Zoning Regulations. The Township Board of Trustees must vote to approve any changes proposed by the Zoning Commission.
The Zoning Commission meets the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the LaGrange Township Complex. All meetings are open to the public.
