Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) Position Opening - Applications due Aug 31, 2026

LaGrange Township Trustees are seeking to fill an open position on the BZA. This term will run from October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028. Member responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-  Hear/Determine appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Zoning Inspector/Zoning Commission in enforcing Zoning Regulations.

-  Hear and decide on permits for conditional uses, development plans, or other uses upon which the Board is required to act under these Zoning Regulations.

-  Attend various township meetings to review and discuss agenda items, development issues, work program activities, and to review and make decisions on land use development applications.

-  Have a willingness and dedication to commit both time and personal energy to the Zoning Board of Appeals.

-  Have an interest in comprehensive community planning, zoning and subdivision of land, and the protection of our environment.

-  Have a desire to assist in implementing the land use policies, including the Comprehensive Plan, Subdivision Ordinances, Zoning Ordinances and environmental policy, for the purpose of protecting the health, safety and welfare of our residents.

-  Have a willingness to encourage and accept input from citizens, organizations and those directly affected by land use related actions made by the BZA.
