Zoning Department
Zoning permits are required for all buildings, additions, pools, ponds, decks, driveway pipes, ditch enclosures, garage sales and fences. All Zoning Applications must be done through and submitted directly to LaGrange Township Zoning Inspector Marty Mohr.

Permit Checklist
Contact Zoning Inspector about filling out a permit Application. (Contact Info above)
Create a site plan drawing of the property, location and measurement of distances from other structures and property lines.
For new buildings you need to fill out and submit the Lorain County Health Department Property Improvement application and submit for approval.
A construction drawing for all new construction.

Did you know that anyone in the county that disturbs 1 acre or more of soil needs an Erosion and Sediment Control Permit? The permit is obtained from the County Soil and Water per EPA rules (except agricultural interests).
A Zoning Permit is required prior to construction.
