Zoning permits are required for all buildings, additions, pools, decks, driveway pipes, garage sales and fences. To obtain a permit or have any questions, contact the zoning department directly.

Did you know that anyone in the county that disturbs 1 acre or more of soil needs an Erosion and Sediment Control Permit? The permit is obtained from the County Soil and Water per EPA rules (except agricultural interests).

Fill out a permit application
Create a site plan drawing of the property, location and measurement of distances from other structures and property lines.
For new buildings you need to fill out and submit the Lorain County Health Department Property Improvement application and submit for approval.
